5 More Ways to Avoid Birthday Gifts-Part 3

Betsy gave some suggestions of what to give when the invitation to a party says "no gifts." Here are some other ideas to help avoid buying a new toy chest.

1. Instead of gifts, ask for books only (many can be found for around $5 or less.)
2. Ask for books/toys for donations to a local charity.
3. Do a toy swap-each child bring a non-gender toy and each gets to pick one to take home with them (eliminates party favors too!)
4. Have each child bring a party favor to share-like above, everyone gets something.
5. Don't have a party: Birthday parties is a whole new blog, but you don't have to have one every year!
